What’s on around New Zealand?

Lots of stuff has been cancelled but there are still a number of organisers planning to go ahead with their summer car events. If there’ve got the drive to run them we’ve got the commitment to be there, so here’s our pick of them:

Cruise Martinborough - 29 January 2022 (Wairarapa)

An annual Hot Rod, classic & muscle car event held in the lovely township of Martinborough. The 4 day event includes the drags, show & shine, and of course a cruise! Come for the cars, stay for the bars, and the wineries and the craft markets!

Te Anau Motorama – 12 February 2022

The lower South Island is a haven for car enthusiasts and so a team of volunteers have put together the inaugural Te Anau car show which involves a Friday night cruise and Saturday show at the rugby grounds. Star Insurance Specialists has come on-board as one of the 6 category sponsors (the categories are American / Australian / European / Bike / Unique).

Star Insure Motofest – 4 to 6 March 2022 (Waikato)

Hampton Downs brings you the fourth instalment of the STAR INSURE MotoFest over the weekend of March 5th and 6th 2022. The NZ Superbikes will headline the event with the Classic NZ Grand Prix also taking centre stage. Legends Aaron Slight, Andrew Stroud and Graeme Crosby, will be back and a full round of the NZSBK Championship will deliver plenty of action on track.

Aroha Cruise In – 5 February 2022 (Te Aroha)

Organised by the Te Aroha Business Association, Aroha Cruise In is a classic car, motorbike, hot rod and interesting vehicle show spread throughout the main streets of Te Aroha, Waikato. It’s set to attract thousands with entertainment throughout the day, along with children’s rides and many food & refreshment options.
