Terms and conditions (conditions) of the $1,000 fuel giveaway, which applies to all entries;

1. By entering the competition a participant is deemed to and agrees to be bound by these conditions.
2. The promotor of this competition is Star Underwriting Agents Ltd (Star Insurance Specialists).
3. For your entry to be valid, contact information must be provided (where indicated) and must be readable. Ineligible, incomplete, or incomprehensible entries will be deemed invalid. The participant warrants that all information provided is true and correct.
4. The prize is for a $1,000 Mobil fuel voucher. The competition is not sponsored or endorsed by Mobil.  The prize is not exchangeable for cash or transferable to another person. We reserve the right to exchange the prize for another fuel voucher of the same value.

The prize will be drawn under independent supervision at a date and time as publicised on our website (starinsure.co.nz/prize-draws).  We reserve the right to bring forward or delay the time of any prize draw due to any unforeseeable circumstances, such as a COVID-19 outbreak.

1. The winner will be notified by phone at the number listed on the entry form. This call must be answered. If you answer at that time then the prize will be yours. If you do not answer the call for any reason whatsoever, the prize is forfeited, and we will telephone the next drawn entry.
2. Star Insurance Specialists’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
3. By entering this competition you agree to receive promotional information from Star Insurance Specialists. Your email address will be added to our email list. On each email you receive from us you are given the opportunity to unsubscribe. When you unsubscribe, we remove your email address permanently from our mailing list. You will receive no further communication.  Naturally, if you unsubscribe, but enter another competition, your name will be re-added to our email list, and you will need to unsubscribe again to stop communications.
4. All information provided by participants will be collected, handled, stored, used, and corrected in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020.  We will not share information provided in your entry form with third parties.  We take reasonable steps to maintain the security of your personal information and to prevent any loss or unauthorised access.
5. All participants have the right to access their information and request for any personal information to be corrected (to do this see: starinsure.co.nz/privacy-policy).
6. You agree that your name, the draw you entered, and any photos taken will be published on starinsure.co.nz/prize-draws under the winners’ tab, for up to seven years.
7. Prize to be collected from any Star Insurance Specialists location or as arranged.
8. Employees, contractors, and affiliates of Star Insurance Specialists and their immediate families are ineligible to enter.
9. Entry is open to New Zealand residents only who are over the age of 18 at the time of entry.  One entry, per person, per draw only.
10. New Zealand law applies to these conditions and the competition.
    
    

Star Insure $500 Prezzy Card Giveaway - Howick Village Hop

Terms and Conditions

1. Promoter: The Promoter is Star Insurance Limited trading as Star Insure (“Star Insure”), 2 Reg Savory Place, East Tamaki, Auckland 2013 (“the Promoter”).

2.  Promotion: Exhibitors at the Star Insure Howick Village Hop who are either current Star Insure policyholders or who purchase a new Star Insure Prestige, Enthusiast or Everyday car insurance policy (“Qualifying Policy”) before 31 December 2025, will automatically go into the draw to win one (1) $500 Prezzy Cards (“the Promotion”).

3.  Promotional Period: The Promotion commences at 12.01 am on 14 November 2025 (NZST) and closes at 11.59 pm (NZST) on 31 December 2025 (“the Promotional Period”).

4. Eligibility: To be eligible to enter the Promotion:

   a. you must be a New Zealand resident aged eighteen (18) years or over and who is residing in New Zealand at the time of the Promotion;
   
   b. you must be an exhibitor at the Star Insure Howick Village Hop;
   
   c. you must either:
   
   

   i. be a current Star Insure policy holder; or
   
   

   ii. have purchased a new Qualifying Policy during the Promotional Period;
   
   

   d. during the Promotional Period, Star Insure has received all payments due in respect of the premium for your existing policy or the Qualifying Policy, either:
   
   

   i. in full for an annual payment; or
   
   

   ii. at least the first instalment and any subsequent payments due if your payment method is by instalments; and
   
   

   e. the Qualifying Policy remains current during the Promotional Period and for a period of 3 months after the Promotional Period.
   
   

   5. You will not be eligible to enter this Promotion if you:

    a. are seeking a quote for or renewing a policy that has either expired or been cancelled by us for non-payment (or any other reason that may result in cancellation of your policy) within the three months before the Promotional Period or at any time during the Promotional Period;
   
   

   b. have an existing Star Insure insurance policy that is cancelled either by you or by us within the three months before the Promotional Period or at any time during the Promotional Period and a new policy insuring the same car is purchased within the Promotional Period;

    

   c. purchase a Qualifying Policy and then cancel it either during or within the three month period following the Promotional Period. If this occurs, then you will not be eligible to receive a Prize, or if you have already received a Prize, you will be required to return it to us or reimburse us for its value.

    
   6. By entering this Promotion, the Participant acknowledges full acceptance of these terms and conditions of the Promotion, including all eligibility requirements.

   7. Employees, officers and contractors of the Promoter (and their immediate families) or any company or agency associated with this Promotion, are ineligible to enter this Promotion.

   8. Every new Qualifying Policy purchased and paid for during the Promotional Period will be automatically entered into the Prize Draw. Only one entry per Qualifying Policy regardless of the number of policy holders listed.

   9. The Prize: There is one (1) prize of a $500 Prezzy Card (“Prize”) to be won for this Promotion. The Prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash. Terms and conditions apply to the use of the Prezzy Card and can be found at www.prezzycard.co.nz/terms-and-conditions

   10. Prize Draw: At the end of the Promotional Period, the Promoter will randomly select a prize winner (“Prize Winner”) from all valid entries received during the Promotional Period (“Prize Draw”). The Prize Draw will take place on 5 January 2026, at the offices of the Promoter, 2 Reg Savory Place, East Tamaki, Auckland 2013. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

   11. Prize Winner’s will be notified by phone and email within two (2) business days of the Prize Draw, using the contact information listed on their policy. The Prize must be claimed by the Prize Winner responding to the email within five (5) business days of the email send date. The Promoter will make reasonable attempts to contact the Prize Winner. If the Prize Winner does not respond to the email within the stipulated time frame, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the Prize and re-draw a new Prize Winner within ten (10) business days of the Prize Draw. The re-draw will be done in the same manner and on the same terms and conditions as the original Prize Draw. If a Prize Winner cannot be found after three (3) redraws, the Promoter will withdraw the Prize.

   12. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any Participants who interfere with the entry process or with the operation of the Promotion.

   13. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion or these terms and conditions at any time and for any reason before the end of the Promotion and without prior notification. The Promoter shall not be liable to any Participants or Prize Winners for any loss or damage incurred as a result.

   14. The Promoter reserves the right to use the Prize Winner’s name, region and photograph on the Promoter’s website www.starinsure.co.nz , social media channels and for promotional and publicity purposes.

   15. By entering the Promotion, Participants consent to their personal information being collected and used by the Promoter for the purpose of conducting this Promotion. All personal information will be manage in accordance with our privacy policy (starinsure.co.nz/privacy-policy) and the Privacy Act 2020.

   16. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter, its employees, contractors and any company associated with this Promotion, shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered or sustained (including but not limited to indirect, or consequential loss or loss arising from negligence) arising directly or indirectly out of or in connection with this Promotion or the Prize.

   17. Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to exclude, limit or modify any statutory rights any person may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.
