The Mangakino Lake Hop

The Mangakino Lake Hop back in July was a great success, a reminder of how significant car events are to enthusiasts, especially as many upcoming events around the country are being postponed.

The fine winter day saw over 700 vehicles come down to the Mangakino Lakefront for some family fun alongside motorbikes, boats, food & music. The Star Insure team enjoyed meeting the attendees to discuss insurance options and enter you in our draw for $1000 of free petrol. We’re pleased to announce the lucky winner as Jenny Pulford of Papamoa Beach.

As principal sponsor of the Mangakino Lake Hope we’re delighted to hear the event raised over $20,000 for local community groups.

As we head into the summer months hopefully restrictions will ease enough to allow the planned car events across the country to go ahead. Our Star crew will be there supporting car enthusiasts and offering competitive insurance quotes for your classic, hobby and prestige vehicles.
