Getting out and about in New Zealand

Our friends at All Points Camping Group have been out exploring New Zealand in their motorhomes, caravans and tents. We got them to kindly put together a list with some of their favourite spots!
Miranda Holiday Park
Situated on the coast road to Thames this park has everything for a relaxing stop. The hot mineral pool is perfect for ending a day of travelling. The camp has excellent facilities with considerable investment in sustainable practises and waste management. There are campsites and cabins to suit all needs, a pet friendly area and activities for children.
Flat Hills Café & Tourist Park, Rangitikei
This is a café/break stop for tourist buses and is located on State Highway One is the Northern Rangitikei area. The rustic café has a huge range of food and beverage options and a large farm themed outdoor area. There is also a maze for those that want to get lost! Nestled under the hills the tourist park has cabins and camp sites.
Rotorua All Seasons Holiday Park
We know that everyone will visit Rotorua at some stage. This award winning holiday park provides a quiet location with the ultimate in relaxation. Its location is close to the town centre, reclaimed wetlands and a great base for day trips. It’s a perfect place to unwind after an exhausting day exploring the many attractions of the area.
Kaupokonui Beach Camp, South Taranaki
Situated just west of Manaia on the South Taranaki surf highway this coastal camp is highly recommended. A great place to try your hand at surfcasting, take a relaxing walk along the beach or chill in the stream. The modern facilities are maintained to a high standard.
Orchard View Camp Kinloch
Located about 16mins drive from central Taupo and close to Kinloch this rural camp/homestay is fantastic location to rest up. Families and travellers are made very welcome by hosts Christine & Clive Oakes (All Points Camping members) at this private property which offers non power rural camping sites. www.kinlochhomestay.co.nz
Ashley Park Kiwi Holiday Park, Christchurch
A quiet rural settling next to the river, this holiday park in located near Oxford in Canterbury on the edge of our second biggest city. Kayaking, bush walks and lots of space for children make it the perfect spot if you want to relax but remain close to the bright lights of town.
