Making a claim is easy with Star.
Our in-house team handles claims to make everything quick and easy.
What kind of claim are you making?
Your vehicle has been stolen or someone has attempted to steal your vehicle which has damaged the vehicle itself and possibly vehicle accessories and/or contents have been stolen.
In order for us to assist you, there is certain information that we require – e.g. event details including where, when and what happened; Police reference, details and report; and details of the offender (if known).
Your excess will be applicable and depending on the outcome of your claim, it may be deducted from our settlement offer or payable to the repairer or may be waived if the offender is charged by the Police.
But first things first, make sure you have reported this event to the Police. If you haven’t done this already, we suggest calling 105 or contacting your local Police station.
If your vehicle has been stolen, please don’t be offended but as part of our process we will be appointing an investigator of our choice to interview you and others associated with this event. The investigator will then report their findings to us for review/ consideration.
If your vehicle has been broken into or has been recovered, please take all reasonable steps to minimise the extent of damage that can be caused to your vehicle until one of our appointed assessors are able to assess the vehicle.
